Colorado Banned His Ear-shaped Edibles, But Mike Tyson Makes A Comeback With Boxing Gloves

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth, but what if it’s a state government doing the punching?

Mike Tyson’s cannabis business faced a setback in 2022 when the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) barred his brand, Tyson2.0, from selling weed-infused gummies shaped like an ear with a bite taken out. The gummies, called Mike Bites, were a nod to Tyson’s infamous 1997 incident when he bit Evander Holyfield’s ear during a title fight. However, Colorado law prohibits THC edibles from resembling humans, animals, fruit, or other objects that might attract children.

In response, Tyson2.0 altered the shape of its edibles in Colorado to a capital “T.” Despite this adjustment, other states—including Arizona, Florida, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania—also began to ban the ear-shaped gummies.

Frustrated with the limitations imposed by the “T” design, Tyson2.0 has announced a new product: Mike’s Knockout Gummies. These new edibles are shaped like boxing gloves and adhere to Colorado’s regulations on edible shapes, providing a workaround for states where Mike Bites are restricted.
